Baby Kitty!

My brother works for an animal shelter and he brought home a 2 weeks old kitten named Cali who is amazingly cute. Too bad we have to give her back when she's able to walk and eat on her own :-(

Speaking of kitties, I have some cool kitty figurine in my etsy store!

Justin Timberlake launches record label

Read article here

It was only a matter of time before Justin Timberlake launches his own record label (and why the hell not, every artists have their own label now a days). I'm surprise he didn't do this earlier. He'll be signing artists to a record label he partnered with Interscope Geffen A&M label Group (naturally).

Timberlake says "We are all excited about the talent we have to offer already on our roster, and I cannot wait to introduce the world to my new discoveries."

Let's all jump up and down with high anticipation in Timberlake's discoveries - probably nothing more than clones of himself and clones of any artists that are out there today.

Paula Abdul found her purpose on 'Idol'

Read article here

Apparently Paula didn't discover her purpose in life until she joined "American Idol". She says "I knew since I was a little girl that I had this profound way of touching people. My purpose is bringing out everybody's best and being that cheerleader to other people's success."

Poor Paula, if her life purpose is "American Idol," she needs to find herself another life purpose and fast! Who knows how long "American Idol" will stay on the air now the ratings are steadily decreasing. Let's face it, the only winner who might have a lasting career is Kelly Clarkson - perhaps even Carrie Underwood. Where's Ruben Studdard, Fantasia (besides being in "The Color Purple") and even Clay Aiken? And I don't see this new winner, what's her face, will last in this industry. After her first album drops, it'll eat her alive.

Apple Debuts Unprotected Songs!

Read article here

Hooray! Apple is now selling songs without copyright protection on Itunes. This means tracks are no longer limited to a certain player or how many times it can be played. This also mean more selection! The sound quality is supposedly better. The catch is it costs $1.29 per song instead of $0.99.

The question is is anyone willing to pay more for it while they can get songs for free? I'm a sucker when it comes to music. I'd probably do it just for the higher quality tracks - but I guess that depends on which artists I'm purchasing. Some artists I could care less.

Lindsey Lohan Arrested for DUI

Read article Here

Lindsey Lohan and 2 other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard. Police said that Lohan appeared to be speeding and they found what appears to be cocaine in the car, even though they said Lohan was not the person who was carrying it.

Looks like it's back to rehab for her. I say she should just get into yet another car crash and this time lose a limb so we can stop hearing about her already. Is that too harsh?

I've been TAGGED!

SarahKnits tagged me and I have to write 7 things about myself then tag someone else.

1. I'm 4'8 and super tiny so a lot of people mistakes me as a 12 year old. (I'm actually in my mid-20's)

2. Music is my life. I work in the music industry, I play piano, I sing (but won't play or sing in public!) I can't live without carrying music with me everywhere. NIN is my favorite band.

3. I LOOOOOOOVE thunderstorms

4. I can't stand heat.

5. My favorite movie is The Crow.

6. I love the beach. I love being around nature, but not for an extended period of time. Is that weird? I'm a city girl so I need to be in the city permanently or else I'll go crazy!

7. I want to go to Athens. Somebody take me!

`Pirates' opens to record theater count

See Story Here

Let the race for the Box Office begin. First it was Spiderman 3 and Now Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End. Pirates already beat out a box office record before it even open. Pirates opens Friday in an all-time high of 4,362 theaters domestically, 110 more than the previous record-holder, Spider-Man 3.

Personally I don't think Pirates can beat out the wall crawler once the movie officially releases in the box office. But Shrek 3 might give Spidey a little more compeition. What do you guys think?

Paul McCartney debuts video on YouTube

NEW YORK (AP) -- Paul McCartney snagged Natalie Portman to star in his new music video - thanks to his fashion designer-daughter, Stella.

Portman, 25, makes a cameo as a ghost in the video for "Dance Tonight," a track from McCartney's new studio album, "Memory Almost Full." The video had its world premiere Wednesday on YouTube.com.

"The connection with Natalie came from my daughter Stella, who makes non-leather shoes that Natalie buys, so I just thought, `Well, I'll ring her up and just see if she'll do it.' So I rang her up and said, `Hey, I'm Stella's dad!'" the 64-year-old former Beatle said in a statement posted on his Web site.

Portman, whose screen credits include "Closer" and "V for Vendetta," plays a "futurist electronic ghost" who is summoned by the sound of McCartney's mandolin.

Filmmaker Michel Gondry ("Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind") directed the video.

"Memory Almost Full," McCartney's 21st solo album, will be released June 5 in the United States. It's his first release for Hear Music, Starbuck Corp.'s new record label.

McCartney last released the acclaimed "Chaos and Creation in the Backyard," in 2005.
